Award-winning actor and
vegetarian Corey Feldman

“I’m a big fan of Corey Feldman, I grew up watching his movies: The ‘Burbs, The Goonies is one of my all-time favorite movies.”

— Susie Castillo,
television host, actress & former Miss USA; vegan

“When Corey Feldman came onstage and then backstage and talked to me, I was thinking, ‘I am the biggest Goonies fan and you’re in the same room with me, what an honor!’ And I took his picture, I put it on my Instagram. It was just amazing.”

— Brian Joo, Korean pop star

Throughout his youth, Corey Feldman appeared in over 100 commercials and some 50 television shows including Mork & Mindy, Eight Is Enough, One Day at a Time, and Cheers.

Corey Feldman’s memorable film work earned him both critical acclaim and an endearing place
in fans’ hearts.

With his film debut in Disney’s Time After Time followed by The Fox and the Hound as the voice of Young Copper, he then went on to star in 15 consecutive #1 movies, including The Goonies, Stand by Me, Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter, The Burbs, and Gremlins.

In 1987, Mr. Feldman appeared with Corey Haim in The Lost Boys, which marked their first on-screen pairing. They went on to star in a series of movies, including License to Drive and Dream a Little Dream, receiving much acclaim and award recognition.

PopStop TV, an online Hollywood media outlet with 6 million viewers monthly, also interviewed Corey Feldman moments before the musical’s premiere.
PopStop TV: You’ve been to so many different red carpet events here in Hollywood. What do you think makes this one stand out the most?

Corey Feldman: It’s beautiful. Have you ever seen anything like this? It’s like “It’s a Small World” but for real.

PopStop TV: That’s what I was saying.

Corey Feldman: Exactly, it’s amazing, all these beautiful countries and continents represented here today. It’s a true representation of world peace and all beings being one, together as one, living in peace and harmony. It’s a beautiful thing.

A talented musician, Mr. Feldman has released two solo music albums. With his band, Corey Feldman’s Truth Movement, he would release two more albums and perform throughout the US to dozens of sold-out audiences.

He has continued to star in various screen productions, such as the TV series Dweebs, The Surreal Life, Lucky Fritz, Terror Inside, and The Birthday, the latter two of which earned him the Best Actor honor twice at major international film festivals.

In 2005, Mr. Feldman made his stage debut in the Off-Broadway play Fatal Attraction: A Greek Tragedy. He also lent his voice for Sparx-77 in Disney’s still-running animated show Super Robot Monkey Team Hyperforce Go! In 2007, Corey Feldman and Corey Haim began a reality TV show titled The Two Coreys on A&E, for which Mr. Feldman was executive producer. He was also featured in the two sequels to The Lost Boys.

Mr. Feldman once explained his outlook in life in dealing with his success and pressures of the entertainment industry as follows: “I’m not a religious person, but I am a spiritual person. I’m a positive person. At the end of the day, no matter how much negative energy has been thrown at me, or just terrible situations – I think my greatest tool and asset is that I’m able to just deflect it. No matter how dark times get, it doesn’t matter, because they can always get better.”

On the red carpet for the premiere of Loving the Silent Tears, Corey Feldman was interviewed by Time TV, a global satellite TV network broadcasting in both Persian and English to millions of viewers in North America.

Time TV: How do you feel about today’s event?

Corey Feldman: I feel today’s event is a beautiful, spiritual, uplifting, amazing journey, and I’m very excited to just sit and watch and be a part of it.

Time TV: What made you want to be a part of an event like this?

Corey Feldman: Of course being here to celebrate the 19th Anniversary of Supreme Master Ching Hai’s beautiful day, I was very touched and honored that they would think of me. Very blessed.

Time TV: For those who don’t know, can you let them know what the message behind Loving the Silent Tears is?

Corey Feldman: The message for all of us is that we all need to live in peace, love, and harmony with all of our fellow creatures and all beings on this planet. I think that’s something that we all seem to forget along the way. We get caught up with all the drama and negativity and all the obstacles, and all the things that society, politics they put this fear-based idea in our heads and make us believe that we need to live and abide by that. When, in actuality, those are the things that we need to ignore, those are the things we need to shut out. We need to open ourselves to the true inner love, God’s love, and peace.

The beloved actor, musician, and producer has been a committed vegetarian for 27 years, during which time he has worked with a number of charities for environmental and animal protection. As one of the four veg MCs hosting the premiere of Loving the Silent Tears, he shared, “I feel quite honored and humbled to be here, to be a part of this momentous occasion, to be celebrating the 19th anniversary of Supreme Master Ching Hai Day. It’s beautiful, obviously, to be part of something which is meant to send a message of bringing peace and harmony to all living creatures, all living beings on this planet; it is the most important thing we can do. Because at the end of the day, it’s not those things that we hang on to, the material world, that matters. It can all be swept away, and we’re all going to be the same, whether we have those things or not. But what matters is what you have right here [pointing to his heart] and right here [pointing to the center of his forehead]. So as long as you keep it in your heart and your soul, you’ll be okay.”

As an enthusiastic veg MC for Loving the Silent Tears,
with TV host/former Miss USA Susie Castillo (vegan).

With Mr. Feldman lending his strong voice for the noble cause of fostering peace and love for both humans and animals, we have one more reason to hope that a loving vegan world may soon be our cherished reality.
