Truth-Sharing : Observation And Growth

By Brother Bae, Yong-jae (Pusan, Korea) (Originally In Korean)

One day in 1993, we were sharing Master's teaching at Youngdeungpo train station. There are many poor people who sleep on the streets near the station. When we were checking to see if any sample booklets had been distributed in that area, we noticed a homeless man who was shedding tears as he read the sample booklet. He approached us and took my hand. As I held his hands, I opened my mind and paid attention to his words. He said he was not able to finish reading the booklet since he could not stop crying. He further commented that never had a book touched the deepest part of his mind, as did this one. He requested that we take the booklets to some of his friends who were very sick in a nearby public care center.

When we were returning to the Center after taking the sample booklets to his sick friends, we received the blissful news: Master would give a lecture in Seoul! Now we were also crying. This man inspired us with the determination and energy to work very hard to prepare for Master's upcoming visit. Night and day we worked distributing the sample booklets in more places to the lost souls who sincerely wanted to go back Home.
