Winter-Warming Garden Party

The Yunlin Family Support Center presents a letter of gratitude to the Chiayi Center of the Supreme Master Ching Hai International Association in recognition of its contribution to the year-end Winter-Warming Activity held to benefit needy children.

[Chiayi] The Yunlin Family Support Center recently sponsored a successful year-end Winter-Warming Garden Party cum charity sale at Huwei Elementary School. Benevolent people from all walks of life donated generously to provide a red packet of love to each of the children from poor households, which is money in a red envelop, a Chinese tradition. There was also a lucky draw with such prizes as a bicycle, a television set and a refrigerator, etcetera. Other entertainment programs included a tug-of-war and dancing.

As always, the Quan Yin family participated enthusiastically in the charitable activity, and fellow initiates from Chiayi eagerly served the public with great joy and sincerity. The Book Counter attracted crowds of children as soon as the activity began early in the morning. Children avidly read the book, "Master Tells Stories" and were reluctant to leave. Free servings of vegetarian delicacies also drew large crowds and left them highly impressed with our vegetarian cuisine. Later in the day, the superintendent of the Family Support Center presented a letter of gratitude to the working staff of Chiayi Center that commended their hard work.
