A Blend of Art and Spirituality

Korean initiates display their attainments in spiritual practice through poetry, painting, photography, sculpture, songs and instrumental music performances.

The Quan Yin Poetry Recitation and Art Exhibition was held at the S.M. Vegetarian Buffet in Seoul, Korea. Many Korean initiates demonstrated their wisdom and the results of their spiritual practice through poetry, painting, photography, sculpture, songs, and also by playing musical instruments. Their creative works, imbued with wisdom derived from spiritual practice, were both meaningful and noble from an artistic and spiritual standpoint.

Fellow practitioners felt an intense longing for Master from the preparatory stage right through to the end of the activity. Members of the audience were moved to tears while listening to poem recitations that echoed this longing. In other poems, initiates shared with the audience their journeys on the spiritual path. The poets' honest expressions of their difficulties and blessings in spiritual practice and daily life struck a familiar chord in every member of the audience.

This show of talent and wisdom by fellow initiates won high commendation from audience members. However, it is Master to whom they are ultimately grateful for awakening their hidden gifts.
