★ A Loving Visit To Rural Towns

<Panama> It was a wonderful day. The fellow practitioners from Panama left early in the morning, bringing with them clothes, shoes, rice, beans, milk, salt, etc., to commence a most meaningful trip -- to bring God's light and love to the rural people near the border.

They were accompanied by the President of the Red Cross in Panama and officers of the Patronage of the National Nutrition Service. Fellow initiates drove to two communities in the province of Cocle: Miraflores and Cano de San Miguel.

The landscape changed from flat plains and towns to a mountainous rural area. Two bridgeless rivers had to be driven across. When they got down to the first river, the car stalled, but they weren't afraid because during the whole trip they had been receiving Master's blessings. Nevertheless, the incident made them think about the importance of the trip and the precious value of life as well.

In Cano de San Miguel people received them warmly. Their faces radiated with great happiness, especially those of the children when they received the toys.

The road to Miraflores was as difficult as the road to Cano de San Miguel, but they arrived without any problem. In Miraflores they also received a warm welcome. They distributed the rest of the supplies and happily drove back. Remaining in their hearts were the joyful smiles of these people; they were like rays of sunshine on a cloudy day. God's light has surely brightened these communities.
