Report From Puerto Rico

A Spiritual Island -- Small and Beautiful

<San Juan> Puerto Rico is a small island in the Caribbean. Though it is part of the United States, the native culture and traditions are mainly Spanish. The local people are as warm and cordial as sunshine, and generally accept that vegetarianism is beneficial to human health.

The Supreme Master Ching Hai International Association has many Centers all over the United States, but this is the first time that the Quan Yin Method has been openly introduced in Puerto Rico. A newspaper columnist came across Master's sample booklet in a bookstore. After reading the booklet, she was greatly interested in knowing more about Supreme Master Ching Hai and the Quan Yin Method of meditation. She even enrolled to learn the Convenient Method and to receive initiation. The manager of the newspaper voluntarily provided a venue for two video seminars. He also invited the columnist to write an article (refer to appendix) introducing Supreme Master Ching Hai and the Quan Yin Method.

When Master's lecture-videos were shown at the seminars, Her humorous discourses not only brought spiritual enlightenment to people, but also joy and laughter which filled the venue. Some of them even asked to stay to watch a second videotape. They were reluctant to end the discussion and return home until very late at night. They unanimously agreed that Master's teachings are flawless.

Some people have already changed their diet, hoping to get the initiation as soon as possible. Those who have been pure vegetarians for a long time earnestly requested initiation. There is a psychic type of healing which is very popular on the island. Perhaps, as time goes by, more will realize that the ultimate and only true path is to awaken the Almighty Power within themselves, and to attain eternal liberation. Only in this way, is one assured of the best form of healing for the body, the mind and the soul.

Wisdom Eye And Illusionary Magic Mirror

(Appendix)
An article from a Puerto Rican newspaper introducing Supreme Master Ching Hai and the Quan Yin Method.

Coincidences do not exist, therefore the force that attracted me that afternoon to pick up that small booklet entitled "The Key Of Immediate Enlightenment" is here and within all of us. It was the first time that I heard Supreme Master Ching Hai's name; that She was a spiritual Master, born in Au Lac and very well known in the eastern hemisphere. She even has several Centers in the United States. This was the first time Her teachings have come to our island.

After long years of searching, She found a Master in the Himalayas that initiated Her into the Quan Yin Method of meditation, which means contemplation on inner divine light and sound. In the initiation it is through the power of the Master, conceded by God, that opens our wisdom eye, and we feel permeated by the celestial light and glorious celestial music. Many of our illnesses will be cured with the celestial melodies. The inner sounds are the silent music without instrument, the direct teachings from God. This light and celestial music come immediately at the time of initiation. That's why it's called Immediate Enlightenment. Immediate because it is already inside us.

If we follow the direction pointed by the Master, we will find our true Self, which is full of wisdom, beauty and virtue; and all false images will leave us. We will find ourselves without any ugly qualities, any aim, any discomfort, because these are only the magic illusion through the mirror.
