Cape Town Initiates
Savor Master’s Spiritual Banquet

[Cape Town] Each week from May to September 2005, along with initiates around the world, the sisters and brothers of Cape Town were fed the most superb gourmet celestial food through the 2005 Hungary Retreat videos. Each serving was unique in its presentation and content and we all wished this divine banquet would never end as it nourished us spiritually and made us feel that it was indeed a blessing and honor to be Master’s disciples.

Each video was a treasure trove in which we discovered new gems that left us awestruck, delighted, crying with joy and gratitude or shrieking with laughter. The latter occurred especially when Master tossed blessed candy through the air or had us salivating for Hungarian goulash*—a dish She thoroughly enjoyed.

Also, many Cape Town initiates believe that the Hungarian Retreat video series has made them more committed to spiritual cultivation and less distracted by worldly affairs because they can now meditate more spontaneously and for longer periods. Previously some had never entertained the idea of long meditation sessions, but now practicing for four to six hours at a time seems less daunting.

Besides the initiates, another beautiful being, the group meditation hosts’ four year old German-shepherd dog Wijbert has also been blessed by the series despite being confined to the host’s garage and not being allowed to watch. Previously, Wijbert had always relished his non-vegetarian food chunks and refused to eat vegetarian food on a regular basis. However, toward the end of the series, he ate less and less non-vegetarian food, as if it had suddenly lost its appeal. His ‘mom and dad’ were extremely thankful and happy that the dog had finally become a vegetarian because they had been trying hard to get him to change his diet since adopting him at the age of seventeen months. Recently, after a visit to the veterinarian, Wijbert was offered a non-vegetarian biscuit for good behavior but he simply sniffed it and walked away! Moreover, during the time when the series was being presented his owners observed that the dog’s demeanor became much more peaceful.

In light of these positive changes, the Cape Town initiates are inspired to practice more diligently, and we know the results will one day come so we will keep our spiritual antennas tuned. ♥
