Supreme Art

By Sister Initiate Pan Pan, Taipei, Formosa

In Master's fan painting "Infiniteness of the Heaven and Earth", the sun and moon remain motionless in space, surrounded by flying stars and planets. This tiny fan displays the vastness of space and transcends the concept of time on Earth. The sun, moon, and stars are shown simultaneously in the silent void. The work rises above the time constraints of Earth, where the sun can only be seen during the day while the moon and stars can only be seen at night.

Light purple waves undulate in the center of the fan like a wall. The space behind it appears vast and open. The sun and moon shine through a swaying curtain of light purple, making one feel that one can touch the universe beyond just by passing through this layer of waves.

In the peaceful atmosphere of this fan painting, Master shows us the boundless and timeless inner world.
