Supreme Art

Appreciating Master's fan paintings is like drinking the sweet nectar of spirituality. It's tasty and refreshing, and makes one feel perfectly contented. The peace, color, and harmony in the world of fans reflect the inner realm of the painter. The rich Zen themes are reminders to spiritual practitioners. And the delightful colors are like an inlay of gems and pearls, radiating brilliant sparkles and holy splendor.

I was particularly impressed by a fan painting entitled "Liberation". It reminded me of a piece of Celestial Jewelry design called the Wisdom Eye, as the two share similar designs and inner power. When the birds fly over the mountains, enjoying complete freedom and fresh air, can worldly clamor affect them?

"The Palace Gates" is another of my favorites. A splendid gate rises high above in an exhibition of magnificent power. This is our glorious temple and the eternal world of enlightened beings. The painting again reminds me of our shining inner holy nature, and encourages spiritual practitioners to live a heavenly life with confidence.

For many artists, the ultimate criterion for judging the success of an artwork lies in whether it is a natural display of spirituality. A good piece is determined by the following five elements: depth, creativity, truth, beauty, and honesty. I believe that Master's paintings not only encompass all these elements, but Her works of art touch our deepest inner being with a true sense of spirituality. With love and wisdom, Master leads us out of the maze of life.
