I
remember one time when I failed to get a ride in Master's car at Hsihu.
I was very young then and unhappily ran over to tell my mother of this
regretful incident.
As
I grew older, my elder sister told me, "You have to be quick." But there
were always so many little initiates ready to jump onto Master's car
that I stood a little away, thinking, "I am so slow. I don't think I
can get a ride in Master's car." And in my heart, I said good-bye to
Her.
One
day, things were different from usual. Master invited the children to
Her car by asking. The first person She asked was me. "Have you been
in my car before?" I thought Master was speaking to someone else, so
I did not respond and turned around to see who She was talking to. Then
I heard a sister initiate say to me, "Master is speaking to you!" I
was so happy that I can find no words to describe it. I answered immediately,
"No!" Then Master smiled at me and said, "Come up!" I was the only one
She invited that day.
Every
word by Master is the Truth. Some of Her words are imprinted on my mind:
Human life is precious. Practice diligently if you want to make progress.
To have compassion is to progress. When Master finds disciples in difficulty
or sees their weaknesses, She will use tools to help them. Master, You
are like an anxious mother looking for Her lost children. But we are
like mischievous children playing in the forests and refusing to go
home to wash off the dirt. I just want to say, "Thank You, Master. You
have worked so hard!"
