Poem

A Heart From A Previous Lifetime

By Would-be Initiate Hsu, Mainland China

One quiet midnight,
My heart drifted back to the past in a dream.
Time revenged, the old memories came back,
Oh! My enlightened Master whom I had missed for too long!
Scenes of the previous existence flooded my heart.
Suddenly, they condensed
Into radiant and crystalline pearls.

A thread of dreams lightly strung them together.
Becoming a colourful necklace.
Amid the ethereal ancient music, I awoke,
Events of the old lifetime clouded around my pillow,
The dreamlike pearls engulfed
My intoxicated true-nature.

Without hesitation I walk towards You,
A heart from a previous existence
With nothing but wordless emotions.
