Disasters In Korea

This year, Korea was severely inflicted by drought and flood disasters, about which King Sihanouk of Cambodia was much concerned. His Majesty wrote a consolation letter to the Korean Government, and mentioned that the Supreme Ching Hai was also concerned about the situation, and might be able to offer a contribution. The President of Korea immediately instructed his Ambassador in Cambodia to handle the matter.

On September 20, at the Korean Embassy in Cambodia, as arranged by the King of Cambodia, representatives of the Supreme Ching Hai International Association presented a contribution of US$200,000 to the Ambassador of Korea to send back to his country for disaster relief. The Ambassador signed the receipt on the spot, and everyone took a photograph together. The Cambodian King's Secretary, Sour Pheng, and Mr. Ke Seroeun, Minister of the Royal Palace, were present that day.
