Putting Theory into Practice
at a Seminar and Vegetarian Feast

[Tokyo] On October 2, 2005, Tokyo initiates held a Truth-sharing video seminar at their center followed by a vegetarian feast designed to promote the benefits of vegetarianism. Although an early autumn chill was expected for that day, the weather was surprisingly warm and pleasant.

Most of the attendees were already Convenient Method practitioners or had some understanding of Master, and one who had visited the Quan Yin exhibit at the Tokyo Vegetarian Week Festival in early September 2005 brought his whole family to the event. As they watched and listened attentively to Master’s lecture, the audience members occasionally nodded in agreement with Her words.

After the showing of Master’s lecture video, a sister-initiate spoke about the benefits of the vegetarian diet based on research conducted by prominent American nutrition expert Dr. John A. McDougall. To demonstrate that vegetarian food can be both delicious and nutritious, she even prepared a sumptuous vegetarian meal from Dr. McDougall’s recipes.

The Tokyo initiates have held many vegetarian food-tasting events in the past, but this one was the most sumptuous and delicious with regard to the dishes served. Not only was there an enormous variety of items, but the quantity of each course was sufficient to satisfy all the guests, many of whom discussed Master’s teachings in small groups as they ate. The well-prepared speech by the sister and the mouth-watering cuisine convinced the participants that a meat-free diet can be both tasty and beneficial to body and soul. Also, their eagerness to purchase the vegetarian food items offered by the initiates proved the success of the tasting party. Thus for all the participants, the October 2005 video seminar and vegetarian feast was a delightful and meaningful experience.♥
