Modern-day Santa Clauses Bring Holiday Cheer
t
o the Homeless

by Francisco Tarraga, Valencia

On Christmas day 2003, Valencia initiates distributed blankets and vegetarian food to the homeless of their city, driving through the streets in search of people in need. As soon as they saw a homeless person they presented him or her with a blanket and a bag containing food and a copy of Master’s sample booklet. In addition, the initiates expressed their best wishes for Christmas, praying that God would bless their brothers and sisters in need. The recipients were very grateful for their gifts, accepting them with much happiness. At the end of the activity, the practitioners gave the remaining supplies to the Valencia Charity Association, an organization that helps the poor, and the person in charge gladly accepted the items.
