On December 20, 2003, the Santiago Center held a Christmas celebration, inviting many initiates, their family members and friends.

Also, in order to share the blessings of this most meaningful holiday season ever, local practitioners carried out a humanitarian project on Christmas Eve to help the needy in the local community. On the day of the event, the initiates organized dozens of packages containing useful provisions such as clothing and cash, and traveled through a great portion of Santiago.

Observing the extent of people’s suffering, they were reminded that it is not enough to focus only on others’ inner afflictions and limitations. We must also extend our love and assistance to our less fortunate brothers and sisters so as to minimize their suffering and make it more bearable. As a result of this experience, the initiates now better understand the significance of being spiritual practitioners and of putting into practice the valuable teachings of our dear Supreme Master Ching Hai.
