By brother initiate Li, Mainland China

One afternoon, I accompanied my daughter to a class. While she was in class, I visited a flower and plant market with some friends. One of the booths had a potted plant and I was attracted by its special name -"The Dancing Grass," which obviously meant that it could dance. We chatted with the vendor and she revealed that the plant was from China's southern province of Yunnan (bordering on Au Lac, Cambodia, and Burma), where it had won an award in the World Gardening and Horticulture Expo at Kunming in 1999.

The plant looked quite ordinary, much like alfalfa. It had four leaves on each leafstalk, two larger ones at the apex and two smaller ones lower down, and all of the leaves swayed rhythmically to music, especially folk music. The two smaller leaves swiveled from left to right, and twisted up and down, just like a fairy dancing to music. We were deeply moved and marveled at this wonderful creation of God. It testified to what Shakyamuni Buddha once said, "All beings have the God Nature," and also to what Master once said, "All beings are born from 'Sound' (vibration)." If a plant can appreciate the music of this world, how much more should we human beings heed the higher Sounds, and elevate ourselves spiritually? We hope that our brothers and sisters will treasure the immense blessings of being able to follow Master Ching Hai and practice the Quan Yin Method. May we all realize our God Nature and return to our Heavenly Home!
