Master's videotaped lectures had been played for the public through a TV station in Hawaii for months and therefore many people were familiar with Master's teachings and many wanted to be initiated into the Quan Yin Method. Learning that Master was coming to give a lecture, they were overjoyed.

Two lectures were held in Honolulu. Audience members from all walks of life packed the venue. Half the audience consisted of Westerners. The other half included Asian Americans.
