Love In Action

Love Never Dies
<Report On Assistance To The Needy In Formosa, March 1998>

The monthly relief activity got under way as scheduled, as initiates in Formosa, bringing Supreme Master Ching Hai's love, paid their monthly visits to their friends in need. In spite of their unfortunate situations, these ailing and destitute souls have found the courage to face the trials and counter the obstacles standing in their way, as they receive warm and loving concern from more and more people in society.

Initiates offered them words of encouragement, looking forward to that day when they would emerge from the darkness and sea of bitterness to rise in joy and exuberance.

Best wishes for your good health and success.

Taitung Center Serves Indigenous Tribes

Doctor initiates offer free medical services.

Formosa's indigenous people get a free haircut from Taitung initiates.

Needy households in Formosa's eastern hilly region receive financial contributions from the Taitung Center.

[Taitung] At the arrangement of the Taitung Center, initiates provided free medical services and hair-cuts as well as financial contributions to indigenous people living in Hairui Rural Township along the eastern coast of Formosa in March of this year.

Upon their arrival at Long Chuan day-care for children in Dar-Kwang-Yuan community, the team quickly organized themselves, bringing medical equipment, medical supplies and gifts they had prepared for the local residents. When everything was ready, local inhabitants came up for the services. Sister initiates moved their hands quickly and with agility as they trimmed the children's hair. Brother initiates who are licensed doctors diagnosed the physically unwell, while sister initiates who are qualified pharmacists prepared medicine for the patients. Other initiates separated into groups to take care of children and senior citizens who had come with their families. Local residents received medical services and hair-cut services as well as copies of the Supreme Master Ching Hai News magazine, the sample booklet and food, for which they expressed their appreciation to Supreme Master Ching Hai. Accompanied by the town magistrate, another group of initiates visited needy households to offer financial contributions on behalf of Supreme Master Ching Hai.
