Report From Penghu
By Penghu News Group,
Formosa
When
the powerful north wind blew over Penghu again, Master's love flowed like
a warm current, blessing the orphaned, the helpless and the poor.
We
arrived at the home of the first family on our list and saw an old man
sitting in a small, gloomy room. Inquiries revealed he was a victim of
apoplexy which hampered his movements and rendered life difficult for
him. As the old man, who normally relied on an elderly woman to attend
to his daily needs, accepted Master's relief funds, a rare smile lit up
his face, and we wished him an early recovery.
Our
next visit was to an old woman whose movements were also severely restricted
because of excessive physical exertion in the past. Without help, she
has fallen many times. As we massaged her legs and chatted with her cordially,
we could perceive her happiness at receiving such concern from others.
We wished her well and expressed our intention to visit her again. We
visited two other senior citizens whom we had visited several times before.
Recalling their poor physical and mental conditions on our first visit,
we were surprised to find on this visit that not only were they in good
spirits, but their physical health had improved as well. One of them greeted
us with a child-like smile, and as we chatted, we noticed a distinct change
which made him a different person altogether. He expressed his pleasure
at seeing us and even walked outside with us to wave good-bye.

Letter
Of Appreciation From Nantou County Jenai Junior High School
Dear Uncles
and Aunts of the Supreme Master Ching Hai International
Association,
Thank
you so much for your help and financial contributions.
Our hearts are so filled with appreciation that we do
not know how to express it all to you. The assistance
and love that we have received from you will remain
in our hearts forever. We will work hard in school to
improve ourselves and to become capable people who could
also help others. Without your assistance and support,
we don't know what would become of us; perhaps we would
be working in the sun unable to attend school, having
fun like other carefree students. We will cherish all
that we have received and study hard. Finally, let us
wish you happiness and good health, every day to come.
Respectfully
yours,
Liao Huizhen, Yang Huizhu, Bai Xinhua, Ma Zhongxing,

Report
From Chiayi By Chiayi
News Group, Formosa
Six
low-income families in central Formosa received with gratitude relief
funds presented this month by Chiayi fellow initiates on behalf of Supreme Master Ching Hai. One of the families showed great admiration for Master's teachings,
having read Her News magazines and often listened to a local radio program
on the Quan Yin Method. A car accident had left the head of the household
in a coma and the heavy burden of family sustenance fell on his wife.
Fellow initiates expressed sympathy for their predicament and, while presenting
them with the Supreme Master Ching Hai relief funds, hoped that she would find comfort
in Master's teachings and pull through this crisis.

Master Offers Loving
Lunches
Hsincheng
Junior High School is located in a remote area in Formosa's eastern county
of Hualien. Director Li of it's Counseling Office brought to our attention
that some of its students from poor families often came to school hungry
because their parents were too busy to prepare breakfast for them, and
some did not bring lunch with them. Li expressed the hope that our Association
could offer financial contributions for these students' lunches.
At
the invitation of Director Li, fellow initiates went to Hsincheng Junior
High School to convey Master's concern and present funds for the students'
lunches. Director Li briefly explained to the assembly of students the
purpose of our visit, which was to convey Master's love. Then, guided
by the students, fellow initiates visited their homes and presented to
their parents financial contributions that would help improve their living
conditions. Their parents expressed their gratitude to Supreme Master Ching Hai
and were happy that lunches would be taken care of for their children
in the future.
Report
From Taoyuan By
Taoyuan News Group, Formosa
Taoyuan
fellow initiates paid a visit to a poor man living in a small, old brick
house in the northern part of Formosa. For years, Mr. Xie has been a beneficiary
of Master's love and financial contributions. On each of our visits, he
expressed his gratitude by repeatedly thanking us and Supreme Master Ching Hai.
Though an inarticulate man who had never met Master, he moved us with
his expressions of love and respect for Her. We profoundly understood
that Master is taking loving care of his family both financially and spiritually.
