Brother Yang is still considered by his friends to be an unbelievably extraordinary exception after initiation. No one would have believed that such a professional gambler who had spent his life in numerous casinos could put down so decisively all that he had been intoxicated with.

A few years ago, brother Yang was gambling like mad. Each time the bets would amount to millions. Day after day, he did not care anymore about his job. He was spending almost the entire day in the casinos. During this time, relatives and friends had tried to talk him out of it. However, with such an easily agitated character, he would not listen to anyone's advice. There were also some monks who had tried to talk to him, but it was of no avail.

There were a few fellow practitioners living in brother Yang's neighborhood. They advised him whenever they had the chance. However, because brother Yang left school at a young age, he was unable to read much and also unable to understand Mandarin. Therefore, he was not clear about Master's teachings. Brother Yang's younger brother was also a fellow practitioner. One day, he gave him one of Master's lecture audiotapes and brother Yang started to listen to it in his room. Surprisingly, he was able to understand Master's lecture in Mandarin! This unbelievable experience is still unforgettable to brother Yang even now. He said that he was listening with a very sincere heart. Without knowing why, suddenly he could understand Mandarin!

This was very shocking to brother Yang. He then decided to become vegetarian and wanted to get initiation from Master. When the decision was made, brother Yang absolutely did not want to have anything more to do with gambling. He did not even want to associate with his previous gambling friends. There were a lot of tests when he first started being a vegetarian. Nevertheless, he did not want to give up the ideal of getting liberation and persisted in being a vegetarian. After a few months, he finally got the chance to be initiated in Sin Hua Center in Tainan. When he first stepped into the Center, he could feel the loving and friendly atmosphere of the fellow practitioners. This wanderer of the unorthodox circle of the past was touched and said to himself, "I should have come much earlier!

Now, brother Yang's whole family have all become fellow practitioners. Every big and small group meditation, he and his whole family happily go together in a car and have become really happy practitioners. This time he is betting with his whole life, throwing himself into the Quan Yin Method. Victory is a definite certainty!
