HE Samdech Hun Sen Invites Supreme Master Ching Hai
To Bless Cambodia's New Generations

<Phnom Penh> Early in September, upon receiving the invitation from His Excellency Samdech Hun Sen, Prime Minister of Cambodia, and his Lady, Master went to meet with them at their home. Royal guard cars lead the way.

His Excellency and his Lady stood at the front door to welcome Master; they cordially expressed their gratitude to Her for coming. In return, Master presented a gift box orchids (the king's flower) to them, specially selected and hand carried from abroad, to express Her gratitude.

The humble and kind Prime Minister invitingly insisted that Master sit in the seat of honor again and paid high respect to Her. His Excellency once again welcomed Master to Cambodia. Furthermore, he was grateful for Her gracious contribution. The fund has been utilized for different kinds of construction, benefiting many Cambodian people. When His Excellency openly acknowledged receipt of the contribution, Master shyly expressed that She was not used to with this kind of formal "thank you Master praised him for his working style - paying careful attention to every minute detail. Because His Excellency frequently needs to travel to different provinces in order to govern the country, Master kindly asked after his health. She asked him to take good care of his physical condition for the sake of Cambodia's future.

After the meeting, His Excellency's Lady and Master walked hand in hand down the stairs. Master lovingly handed out gifts to all who were there, and everyone was very joyful. His Excellency and his Lady saw Master off in Her car, and with closed palms, bid Her farewell. Also with closed palms, Master returned the gesture of formality. On the morning of September 7th, on the invitation of HES Hun Sen, Prime Minister, and his Lady, Master set off to Bun Rany Hun Sen Development Center in An Cuo Fu Village, Gan La province, to join in the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the completion of the school building there.

On that day, Master traveled with military guards leading the way. She wore a traditional Cambodian gown in purple color, looking very noble and elegant. Many dignitaries and reporters waited at the front door. Master humbly greeted them with closed palms. The reporters were amazed to see the arrival of such a beautiful guest. Focused on Master, their cameras kept on clicking.

Soon, amidst the enthusiastic applause of the audience, HES Hun Sen and his Lady entered the auditorium. His Excellency and his wife shook hands with Master and some of the attending guests, expressing their sincere and heartfelt gratitude. His Excellency thoughtfully arranged for a Cambodian interpreter to translate the content of his speech. In his speech, His Excellency mentioned Master several times, thanking Her for Her contributions to Cambodia. HES Hun Sen, Prime Minister, also mentioned that many people have been asking for the establishment of more schools. However funds are lacking so he was unable to carry out the people's wish. Upon hearing this, Master immediately contributed $40,000 US as fund for the building of schools, which will benefit many more students in the future. Her compassionate contribution touched other guests present, so they also followed suit and made their own contribution. His Excellency especially thanked Master for looking after the children of Cambodia, announcing the contribution once again over the microphone. The people in the audience were very grateful too, they heartily applauded Master's kindness.

His Excellency Samdech Hun Sen then invited Master and other guests to tour the new school and dormitories. The building stood on a vast piece of land, contrasting vividly against the background with its bright colors. It was a sign of Cambodia's bright future. The school building had been colorfully decorated with streamers and balloons. After His Excellency and his Lady cut the ribbon, Master and the guests applauded in congratulation; they were happy for the new generation. His Excellency then led everyone to visit the weaving and cosmetology classrooms. He and his Lady had planted some young saplings next to the classrooms, and water them with care. Master and the guests gathered around and wholeheartedly wished that this school, along with Cambodia, would steadily mature into prosperity. His Excellency and his Lady invited Master to visit the student's dormitory. Afterward, they shook hands with Her, bidding Her farewell and thanking Her for joining in the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
