Prize pig runs 2 miles
to save dying farmer
SALA, Sweden - Farmer Sten Giddeonson was knocked unconscious in a traffic accident and lay dying beside the road - till his prize pig ran more than two miles for help!
Cops say Sten, 46, was driving his stud pig to a friend's farm when he lost control of his truck and hit a tree, knocking himself senseless. But the pig saved the day by running home, grabbing Sten's wife Annemarie by her skirt and tugging of her until she followed him back to the scene of the accident.
"That pig was making so much noise and was so insistent that I follow him that I went along," the grateful lady recalled. "Sten is recovering now, but the doctor said if I hadn't gotten him to the hospital when I did, he'd have been dead for sure."
