Promoting a Noble Lifestyle in a Local Community
By San Diego News Group (Originally in English)

[San Diego] Almost every Sunday, our San Diego Center Association members have been organizing seminars to promote the Earth-saving vegan diet. Typically the events begin with a short slide and video presentation on the health and environmental benefits of the organic vegan diet. After that, the chefs start to demonstrate how to cook quick and delicious vegan meals. Sometimes, the participants are given the chance to experience hands-on the making of the finger foods, and at the end, the audience is invited to feast on the featured dishes of the day. In the friendly atmosphere, many people often come to ask more questions about the discussed subjects and our Association members then share more of their knowledge and experiences. Before going home, all attendees are given a gift bag filled with constructive vegan information for friends and family.

Since each time the seminars have had an increasing number of participants, the San Diego Center recently chose larger facilities such as local churches and the Young Men’s Christian Association (YMCA) for their events. This exciting and effective way of promoting the organic vegan diet has definitely opened the hearts of more people to be kinder toward themselves, the animals, the environment and the planet. Seeing that many are turning toward a more compassionate lifestyle, our Association members are motivated to continue spreading the message that peace and love start on our plates.

VegFest Expo Attracts a Huge Crowd

By Michigan News Group (Originally in English)

[Michigan] Due to Master’s infinite love and blessings, our Michigan Center had a divine opportunity to participate in the March Golden Year 8 (2011) VegFest Vegetarian Tastefest & Expo, which was organized by Veg Michigan, the largest vegetarian organization in the state. More than 4,000 individuals packed the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi to learn about the latest green developments, sample vegan foods, and listen to lectures by distinguished speakers including Oprah’s vegan chef, Tal Ronnen.

Our Michigan Center’s booth had a steady stream of visitors. Many of them have enjoyed the vegan food at Loving Hut restaurants in other cities and inquired about when Michigan would have one as well. An elderly gentleman was captivated by Master’s book, From Crisis to Peace: The Organic Vegan Way is the Answer, and was delighted to receive one free. Some were thrilled to obtain many copies of the informative brochure “Honoring God’s Creation.” They wanted to share them with their church members, since the brochure detailed numerous quotations from the Bible in complete support of the vegan diet. There were also a few who practiced Sikhism or Buddhism that expressed interest in Master’s teachings and the Quan Yin Method of meditation.

Overall, the VegFest Vegetarian Tastefest & Expo turned out to be a very successful event where our fellow initiates had the opportunity to share information with a lot of people about the benefits of a vegan diet and the value of our spiritual lifestyle personally as well as in maintaining the sustainability of the planet.
