On one early Friday morning in November in Oak Hill, Florida, a 7-year-old black lab mix dog saved the lives of his human companions from a fire. The home of the Wood family went up in flames but Keisha, the family's dog, saved the family of four when he started banging loudly on the door of the back room where the fire ignited waking up the entire family. They were able to flee the blaze but unfortunately, Keisha perished in the fire.

When Oak Hill police arrived, they had to restrain Mr. Wood from trying to re-enter the home to save Keisha. The Wood family credits the dog with saving their lives. Upon learning the story, Master awarded Keisha with the Shining World Hero Award, in honor of his ultimate act of courage. We sincerely express our gratitude to Keisha for sacrificing his life to save human beings.
