Supreme Blessings Radiate from Times Square

For the one-year anniversary celebration of Supreme Master Television, leading news agency PR Newswire delivered our first press release to international media. As part of the press release service, PR Newswire together with Reuters, offered to do a photo news display on Reuters' billboard in Times Square of New York City.

Since April this year, we had been trying to find a way to announce Supreme Master Television with Master's picture on Times Square billboards. However, the costs were very prohibitive. So, the news of this photo display was truly a blessing from Heaven!

Despite the time constraints and other challenges in putting everything together by the time it was needed, we all felt that God was leading us through the process. A brother from the UK even miraculously “appeared” by an email mistakenly sent to him because of the similarity of names. He was able to create the Times Square graphic art so it was delivered to PR Newswire just in time for the release!

Another blessing was that the timing perfectly matched with Supreme Master Television's week-long anniversary celebration. The Times Square photo news of Supreme Master Television, with Master's radiant picture, greeted the world from downtown New York City starting September 3, Golden Year 4 (2007). The photo display sign itself is installed on the Reuters office building, which soars 23 stories into the sky and is viewed by more than 1.5 million people per day. The sign includes three digital billboards, with the middle board, which measures 23 feet by 46 feet, displaying the headline and the bottom board, 35 feet by 32.5 feet, displaying the photo.

Our headline read: “Supreme Master Television Celebrates One- Year Anniversary with Special Peace Programs and Entertainment Programs.” The photo included Master's picture, the Supreme Master Television logo and website information.

During the week of September 3, our photo news with Master's picture was displayed on the billboards at least three to ten times each day, every day throughout the week, with many extra “free” displays and twice the guaranteed timeframe! PR Newswire also arranged a video taping of the display and helped upload the clip so that we were able to get it just in time to air for Fly-In News on Supreme Master Television during the anniversary week.

In addition, PR Newswire used their network and delivered the Anniversary news to editors at key consumer and general media in about 90 countries and regions in 26 languages. The total media reached was 12,165 internationally and 4,700 in the US.

On September 19, our team members visited PR Newswire in New York to present their staff with appreciation letters and gifts on behalf of Supreme Master Ching Hai. While there, we were also able to conduct brief interviews with the agency personnel. We met with Ms. Nadia Fiorello, who also represented Mr. David Cappello, Divisional Vice President of MultiVu, the video division of PR Newswire.

The gift packages included Master's books: One World.. of Peace through Music, Wu Tzu Poems, Direct Contact with God – The Way to Reach Peace, and sample booklets. Specially prepared vegan moon cakes, organic vegan chocolates, as well as Alternative Living and Supreme Master Television bags were presented to share among their departments. Photo specialist Jill Ulicney, who is a vegetarian, was especially delighted.

We also presented other materials about Master's teachings and Supreme Master Television to PR Newswire for their reference. Ms. Nadia Fiorello expressed their willingness to provide any help possible, adding, “It's a beautiful cause.”
