Extending a Helping Hand in
the United Kingdom

By Surrey News Group, UK (Originally in English)

Oxfordshire in late July, Great Britain saw its worst flooding in 60 years as storms passed through the western part of the nation. Hearing of the situation, Supreme Master Ching Hai immediately expressed Her concern. Our Association members in Great Britain formed relief teams and went to the regions of Oxfordshire, Worchestershire and Gloucestershire to extend a helping hand to local authorities and affected people.

In Oxfordshire and Gloucestershire, our Association was in contact with the Red Cross and the Thames Valley Police as well as the charity organization of St. John’s Ambulance in Oxford. The regional Red Cross offices confirmed that their assistance needs were currently being met. Our Association members went on stand-by as part of the Red Cross Operations Team, ready to respond to any of the area’s needs
