The Sentient World of Animals

A Special Talent of Our Canine Friends

Supreme Master Television News, Episode #287

The Malaysian government is using two black Labrador dogs to help find unauthorized copies of CDs and DVDs. The dogs, named Lucky and Flo, are on loan from Northern Ireland where they were trained to recognize the smell of chemicals used to produce the discs so that they can detect any discs in hidden compartments or unregistered shipments. Since starting work in March, Golden Year 4 (2007), the dogs have found over 1.3 million counterfeit discs. Our canine friends once again show just how smart and helpful they are.

Lucky and Flo stand next to pirated DVD movie discs which they sniffed out during an anti-piracy demonstration at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport in Sepang, on March 13.
