[Malaga] As the second largest city in Andalucia of southern Spain, Malaga attracts tourists all year round with its pleasant climate and picturesque scenery. It is both a busy and prosperous seaport and an ideal vacation destination. The newly established Malaga Center has an area of 6,000 sq. meters (nearly 1.5 acres), an extensive view and tranquil surroundings within easy city access. Local initiates have another beautiful dream to buy the adjacent piece of land and expand the Center in the near future.

On August 25 and 26, Golden Year 3 (2006), brothers and sisters in Spain held their second retreat of the year at the Malaga Center. More than 20 fellow initiates from Madrid, Valencia and Malaga enjoyed a peaceful retreat there. After our first evening meditation session, we gathered in a leisurely manner under a big tent near the wood cabins, listening to a symphony of croaking frogs in the nearby field and gazing at a night sky lit by glittering stars. With the wonderful inner spiritual experiences we just had during the meditation, we felt revitalized by Master’s blessings and as if we had been elevated to the Heavenly Kingdom.

The most relaxing and enjoyable time of day was after breakfast, when we took a stroll across the lush green grass in the orchard. We basked in the morning sun, listening to the chirping birds and the occasional crowing roosters, breathing in the pristine fresh air with a dash of fragrance from the flowering blossoms. We felt that we were truly in a paradise on earth, yet beyond the secular world.

However, as the saying “Rome wasn’t built in a day” implies, nothing is easy in this world! The spiritual haven of Malaga Center was built over a period of three months with the hard work, selfless contribution and firm commitment of the Malaga initiates, their family members, and would-be initiates, as well as the support of humanpower and materials from Valencia and Madrid. Blessed by Master’s immense love, every one of us worked energetically and in high spirit. Thank You, Master! Thank You, God!
