Soon
after my initiation, I was extremely eager to attain Buddhahood, and
in one of Master's talks from that period, I remembered Her saying,
"Meditating with me for one day is equivalent to meditating at
home for three years." So thinking that it was very worthwhile,
I went to Sindian, where Master lived at the time, for group meditation
whenever possible. One day, when I was halfway to Master's place, it
occurred to me that the gate to Her residence had no doorbell and stood
about 200 meters down the slope from the house. Also, no one inside
could hear a visitor even if he or she shouted loudly at the gate as
there was a roaring stream nearby. In any case, I thought, "Since
I'm here, I may just as well let it be! A miracle might happen."
Then,
the moment I reached the gate, it was immediately opened by my younger
sister, who was an attendant and a resident there. Astounded, I said
to her, "It must be Master who told you I was here!" She answered,
"Right! Master said, 'Your sister has come. Go and open the gate!'"
I would have been left outside the whole day but for the fact that Master
is always able to communicate inwardly with Her disciples in this way.
