Sharing the Good News

[London, Ontario] The London Center was very pleased to host a public seminar on June 16, 2001 to share Master's teachings. We felt very happy and encouraged that a Quan Yin messenger was able to help us hold the seminar.

During the seminar's question-and-answer session, the guests asked questions with so much enthusiasm, that one brother said it was really different than previous ones he had attended. After the seminar, half of the attendees stayed to learn the Convenient Method of meditation.

We felt greatly blessed that we again got a chance to participate in the local Dragon Boat Festival. We arranged another seminar one week after this event (on August 25) as a follow-up to our June seminar. The Dragon Boat Festival in London, Ontario operates as a non-profit event, and the money generated is used to support local charities. This year, the Festival attracted over 40 teams from many cities across Canada, and was well supported by the public. Before the Festival began, the weather forecast predicted a high chance of showers on the two days during which it was scheduled, potentially ruining it. But as usual, with God's blessings, the weather "miraculously" cleared up, and in fact remained perfect during the Dragon Boat Race, and then heavy rains occurred after the Race concluded.

Our booth was quite attractive with its display of Master's publications. Many of our guests picked up flyers announcing the following week's seminar. One lady read the flyer right in front of our booth, and murmured to herself that she had been searching for this a long time, and now she had found it. She immediately asked for an additional flyer and sample booklet for her daughter.

A gentleman from the booth adjacent to ours, who was promoting his martial arts group, told us that he recognized Master's picture from a previous visit to Japan, was interested enough to take a flyer, and expressed his wish to attend the upcoming seminar. An older couple recognized Master's picture and told us that their daughter-in-law in Alberta was a Quan Yin practitioner. They had their photograph taken standing next to Master's picture, and said they would mail it to her. A lot of interest was shown in our booth at the Festival, and we felt that attendance at such a public event was very useful in spreading Master's message and promoting the upcoming seminar.

The subsequent seminar was well attended and the audience consisted of a broad spectrum of people from different age groups and ethnic backgrounds, giving us the opportunity to spread Master's universal message widely. This time, we decided to make some changes in the format of the seminar, in order to broadcast Master's words more effectively: The seminar itself was very short in duration. We first showed Master's TV program, which lasted half an hour and consisted of three parts: 1) a news report about Master at the Parliament of the World's Religions in South Africa; 2) one of Master's lectures; and 3) Master's music concert in Hollywood.
