The Indonesian Center of The Supreme Master Ching Hai International Association held a video seminar on the Quan Yin Method yesterday. Although Supreme Master Ching Hai was unable to attend personally, the seminar nonetheless attracted several hundred people. The seminar lasted more than two hours, as all attentively watched the videotapes presented.

Master's photos and books were on display at the entrance of the seminar venue, along with Her Celestial Clothes and other artistic creations, including paintings. A disciple of Master Ching Hai told a reporter with confidence: "Although Master is not physically present at the seminar, Her manifestation body is omnipresent." The crowd that showed up for the lecture once again left us deeply impressed by Supreme Master Ching Hai's charismatic appeal to the people.

All applicants for the Convenient Method were screened for only those willing to follow the vegan diet for at least ten days per month. Although this requirement is not easy for most non-vegans, dozens of people registered for the Convenient Method without hesitation. Those requesting initiation into the Quan Yin Method are required to maintain a vegan diet for three months at least. An initiate explained that the first condition for initiation is to refrain from killing. Initiates are required to strictly abide by five precepts: No killing, no lying, no stealing, no adulterous misconduct, and no alcohol. No killing means following a vegan diet. Convenient Method practitioners must maintain a vegan diet for at least ten days each month, and should try to consume less meat at other times. Initiates are required to meditate two and a half hours each day in order to elevate themselves toward higher enlightenment.

 

Disciples Lead Carefree Lives

Supreme Master Ching Hai often says that it is not difficult to get enlightenment, and there is a way to immediate enlightenment. This is the most appealing part of Her teachings. "We can have daily, direct contact with God after initiation, and God is omnipresent," She states. Followers of different faiths are strongly attracted by Master Ching Hai's teachings, and She is a merciful and loving example to disciples: Like Mother Teresa known for her loving actions, Master Ching Hai has conducted numerous humanitarian activities around the world without ever seeking anything in return. A disciple initiated three years ago said that during initiation, Quan Yin practitioners can see brilliant light, and enjoy carefree lives and more harmonious family interactions afterwards.
