Sharing the Truth
at Tuxpan Prison

Sharing the Truth with inmates of Tuxpan Prison.

Recently, Mr. Isauro Tapia Vargas, Sub-director of Tuxpan Prison, visited the store of a fellow practitioner, where he read a flier introducing Master, and became very interested in Her teachings. Shortly thereafter, fellow practitioners held two video seminars on the same day, one at the local library for the Prison staff and the other at Tuxpan Prison for the inmates.

Mr. Tapia, his secretary, and an administrator in charge of prisoner education, attended the first seminar that was held at the library. Sub-director Tapia expressed his wish that all the inmates could start a new and successful life upon returning to society. The working team shared anecdotes about inmates who had quit their bad habits after receiving initiation, and had become useful members of society after their release.

Following the videotape lecture, fellow practitioners elaborated on the Quan Yin Method before serving delectable vegetarian dishes to the Prison staff. Mr. Tapia, who also supervised the female prison, suggested that fellow practitioners hold vegetarian cooking classes there, and asked that another video seminar be held especially for the female inmates.

In the afternoon, fellow practitioners held the second seminar at Tuxpan Prison. When they distributed News magazines, sample booklets, and candy, all seriousness dissolved in the cheerful and relaxed atmosphere that ensued. After watching Master's videotaped lecture, many requested to learn the Convenient Method, as did Sub-director Tapia and his secretary. All had good experiences. In response to several inquiries concerning group meditation, Sub-director Tapia agreed to allow fellow practitioners to visit the prison once a week to show Master's videotapes and hold group meditation.

He also presented a medal of commendation to express his gratitude to The Supreme Master Ching Hai International Association, remarking that it had been a very important Truth-inspiring activity for them.
