Inspired, genius, visionary -- these are but a few of the terms one might use to describe the inventor of the Searl-Effect Generator or SEG. Professor John Searl's incredible contributions to technology remain largely unknown and yet could revolutionize all forms of travel and solve the world’s energy needs.

Born on May 2, 1932 into an impoverished family in England, John’s early life set the tone for the trying times that lay ahead. From his youngest years, John had hearing difficulties, hiding the brilliant mind that awaited discovery.

It was at the tender age of four-and-a-half that John began to have unusual dreams, which occurred in pairs. The dreams came twice a year for six years and passed on detailed building instructions to John’s receptive young mind. Having realized the message behind these night time tutorials, Searl began to put his dreams into reality by producing his first Searl-Effect Generator at age 14. The device consisted of three concentric rings, each composed of four different materials also concentrically attached to each other. The three rings are fixed to a base. Surrounding each of the rings and free to rotate around them are rollers - typically 12 on the first ring, 22 on the next and 32 on the outer ring. Surrounding the outer rollers are coils, which are connected in various configurations to supply either AC or DC current.

 

The SEG (demonstration model only)

 

The SEG is a free-energy generator, a device that collects energy without the use of fuel. When the SEG rollers are brought into close proximity to the SEG ring, the Searl Effect’s resonant magnetic field causes negative ions and electrons to be drawn into and accelerated through the machine from the surrounding environment. This process is assisted by the highly electron-attracting rare earth metal, neodymium. The unique mechanical and material arrangement of the SEG pulses the neodymium to continually release and replace the surplus electrons, providing electrical or mechanical power, or both.

After making the first SEG, young Searl set it in motion in the presence of an elderly Welsh friend, and soon the generator’s plates and rollers began accelerating, eventually reaching a point where the unit overcame gravity and proceeded to fly up through the ceiling! The flight of the SEG was entirely unexpected and fuelled his friend’s enthusiasm to the point that he sponsored Searl to make more of the devices.

John then began experimenting with the machine’s flying abilities, ‘losing’ many in the process. Next, with the units firmly fixed to the floor, John set about channelling the energy from the SEG into useable power, which later supplied his home with electricity. By 1965, Searl had made and flown levity discs, or Inverse Gravity Vehicles (IGVs), which incorporated SEG technology. The IGVs can be made in any size and can travel from England to Japan in 30 minutes at more than 19,000km/hour! The discs themselves are also environmentally friendly.

Anything that can be run electrically can be powered by an SEG with virtually no pollution and no use of fuel as we know it. If we adopt his marvelous technology, Professor Searl’s gift to the world will result in little to no pollution, cleaner skies, purer waterways and nature re-grown in abundance. We will also have faster, more efficient terrestrial travel; safer and more accessible air and space travel; cheap, clean, sustainable energy for all citizens of the world; fewer allergies, less sickness, faster healing and rehabilitation, and many more benefits.

During the Austrian retreat in February 2008, Supreme Master Ching Hai was informed of Professor Searl’s work and the challenges and anguish he faced, and immediately voiced Her concern for his well-being and happiness. She then unconditionally offered Her loving assistance through a US$7,000 contribution as well as other arrangements to help make Dr. Searl’s life more comfortable. Professor Searl responded with his sincere thanks, commenting that Supreme Master Ching Hai’s efforts were “much appreciated and she is indeed a wonderful Lady.”

Currently, Dr. Searl has headquarters in Thailand where steady progress is being made in manufacturing the SEG. Although neither the Searl-Effect Generator nor the IGV are yet ready for public release, he says, “I’m working on the project to create a better world for all humankind, regardless.” A video on the life of Professor Searl, “The John Searl Story,” will soon be released.
