[Hsinchu] To promote the noble ideal of “Respect for All Life and Love for Animals,” fellow initiates from the Light and Sound Club of National Tsinghua University is holding a series of book fairs at universities in the Hsinchu area.

On December 24 and 25, Golden Year 4 (2007), they held a mini book fair and a vegetarian food-tasting event in cooperation with the Woof Woof Club from National Chiao Tung University at their campus canteen. On display were Master’s new books — The Dogs in My Life and The Birds in My Life - as well as President Janez Drnovšek’s book, Thoughts on Life and Consciousness. A DVD on Master’s heartwarming interaction with animals was shown. Fellow initiates dressed up as Santa Claus distributed candies, cookies and other small gifts such as Supreme Master Television fliers, calendar cards, tissue packets and pens printed with the relevant Web addresses.

Fellow practitioners were happy that many students had the chance to try the delicious vegetarian food and realize the benefits that the vegetarian lifestyle brings to sentient beings and the world.

 

Sharing the Noble Message at
New Year Countdown Party

 

[Changhua] On December 31, Golden Year 4 (2007), the Changhua Center of The Supreme Master Ching Hai International Association participated in the 2008 New Year countdown and lamp-lighting prayer event held by the Changhua City Office outside the local railway station. During the seven-hour long activity, fellow initiates served almost 2,000 cups of coffee free of charge to the guests. At their exhibition booth, Master’s new books and publications were displayed, while Supreme Master Television programs were shown continuously. Alternative Living and Supreme Master TV flyers and souvenirs were also distributed.

As midnight approached, the hosts and guests started the 2008 New Year countdown, and lamps were lit to pray for God’s blessing, bringing the event to a spectacular climax. We sincerely prayed that, in Golden Year 5, all sentient beings would enjoy further spiritual elevation and a happier and more peaceful world.
