Your presence
slowly faded and the water
reminded me of my return,
so bitter and so cold.

What is it in
Your voice that is so soothing to my spirit

What is it
in Your look
that makes me peaceful

What enchantment
of Your presence brings oblivion to me

Where does
Your way lead?

Not so long ago
I looked for You prayed and despaired.

I asked,
What's wrong with my Eyes,
why are they so filled with longing
for tears

What wind
took the quiet of my soul away?

I closed
my eyes.

I asked
my heart for love,
looked deeply into
my Heart and there,
and there,
I discovered only one
Y O U !

As the water
awaits the sea,
as the sun awaits
the dawning of the day,
as the stars await the night,
my soul impaitiently awaits
a reunion
with You.

And then
I closed my eyes again.
Calmly and deeply I saw
the Water, the Sun, and the Stars,
And everywhere I saw only Oneness
