We gave a sample booklet to a security policeman at the airport. He was so surprised that he didn't say a word and immediately began to read it.

Eating vegetarian is not very difficult in Turkey. They are not used to it, but restaurants will kindly prepare you vegetarian dishes after a short explanation. The following are some basic words:

without fish -- baliksi (pronounce baleuksiz)
without eggs -- yumurtasi
The usual Turkish baguette bread is without eggs. The local specialty sold everywhere in the street and called simit (looks like the pretzel + sesame grains made in the U.S.) is also without eggs.

To feel the bliss of Master beginning to blossom in a country where She was unknown before is an unforgettable feeling; you feel fresh and light. People's smiling faces and interest in reading Master's works was surprising.
