Initiate Ha has been a professional artist for more than 40 years. He has had exhibitions all over the world and received many international awards for his oil paintings. Initiate Ha said that of all types of painting, oil is the hardest. It requires a great deal of experience before one can utilize oil paints well. In the world's history of painting, there has never been anyone except Master who has held a paint brush for the first time and has naturally created an oil painting with artistic value.

In the painting entitled "Retreat", Master depicts a forest scene. Under the shadow of thousands of leaves, is situated a tent in turquoise color. Such a simple theme: a small tent amidst a forest! Subtle vibrations penetrate the air and the hearts of the admirers like a cool breeze in the middle of a hot summer day. A forest aroma fills the whole room. No words can describe this mystery!

Master uses oil paints with such wit and freedom. It is so natural like breathing, the moonlight, cool shade; like the laughing of innocent children.

Master used green as the main color, which represents coolness, but the entire painting warms one's heart because the pure green color of the leaves change as they appear in and out, near and far: indigo green, brownish green, algae green, bluish green, greyish green, ocean green and jade green. The painting projects such great freedom - breaking through the prison of the mind, leaping over rules and traditions learned at school - to become a magnificent masterpiece. From the composition and strokes, it shows the expertise of a painting teacher - the uniqueness of talented artistry.

Spiritually, each painting of Master's is a teaching - uplifting each one to a higher level - guiding the universe towards perfection. Each of Master's paintings is a miracle - no longer a picture made of ordinary oil paints, but something sacred, like the love of the Master bestowed on all sentient beings in the universe.

Initiate Ha said that before he met Master he was like a dead tree in open space. The inspiration to create had almost died. But after initiation and practicing the Quan Yin Method, the inspiration returned and filled up inside him. Even though he works hard every day, he still paints, and writes poetry and music.

During his "one-man" show of oil paintings in early fall of 1995 in Los Gatos (California), there were many guests and fellow practitioners who attended and enjoyed the exhibition. The results were excellent, spiritually and materially. He bows to thank Master.

“Retreat” seems like a simple theme, but the delicate vibration is like the cool breeze in summer, merging deeply into the hearts of the admirers.
Like clouds, the wanderers far from heaven in this world, dream with a smile embracing "Homesick".
