Letter of Appreciation

A Finance Professional’s Charity Adventure

By Surrey News Group, UK (Originally in English)

Wanting to give something back to the world, Reza Pakravan, a UK-based Iranian financial analyst, set aside his busy schedule for a volunteer program in Madagascar run by Azafadya UK-based charity aiming to eradicate poverty, suffering, and environmental damage in the African country.

Deeply moved by the three-week experience, Reza started his own fundraising campaign for the charity to build a school for the children there. Overcoming some serious setbacks and with help from kind-hearted natives along the way, he rode 1,000 km across the Nepalese Himalayan mountains by bicycle; an extremely challenging feat that helped raise an amazing US$32,000, enough to build nearly two schools!

Recognizing his noble deed, Supreme Master Ching Hai sent Reza a Special Salute and a US$25,000 cheque to help him build a third school in Madagascar. On August 30, Golden Year 7 (2010), our Surrey Association members in the UK and a Supreme Master Television crew met with Reza and Azafady founder and managing director, Mr. Mark Jacobs, to present them with the cheque and as some gifts. Really appreciative and grateful, both Reza and Mark sincerely thanked Master for Her generous contribution. They also thanked Supreme Master Television for providing them with the opportunity to talk about their work and goals for helping the people of Madagascar. Reza’s motivation for raising funds for the charity continues to grow as he plans his next adventurecycling across the Sahara desert in Africa!

Bravo, Mr. Reza Pakravan! We offer a standing ovation for your kind heart and giving spirit. May Allah bless you and Azafady with every success in your future charity adventures.

Receipt and thank you letter from Mr. Mark Jacobs for the GBP 16,034 (US$25,000) contribution from Master
