Heavy rains in the city of Dakar, Senegal, in September 2009, caused flooding that destroyed houses and other buildings as well as left many people homeless. Those who had lost their homes were relocated by the Senegalese government. Deeply concerned about the disaster victims, Supreme Master Ching Hai provided US$10,000 in relief funds to help those in need.
On November 6, a group of our Benin Association members went to Dakar to convey Master’s love and distribute rice, cooking oil and salt to the victims, who were deeply grateful for Her assistance. During their visit, the relief team received help from the local flood relief coordinator, who also sent a sincere letter of thanks to Supreme Master Ching Hai. May God bless Senegal with a speedy recovery.
