Flood Victims Happily Receive
Master’s Relief Funds

In November 2009, torrential rains in Tunisia caused flooding that severely damaged buildings, left many homeless, and resulted in loss of life. On November 28, our Paris Center relief team traveled to the affected area with Supreme Master Ching Hai’s financial contribution to bring Her love and comfort to the victims.

They first went to the town of Redeyef in southern Tunisia where the flooding was most severe. They distributed a total of EUR 6,500 (Approx. US$8,000) to five affected households, which enabled them to buy items such as blankets, clothing and furniture. The townspeople were extremely friendly and welcoming, and wholeheartedly thanked Master. To celebrate God’s blessing and commemorate this day full of grace, the villagers prepared delicious vegan couscous and the relief team organized a party with candies, fruit juice and cookies.
