Sharing the Message of “Be Veg!
Go Green! Save the Planet!” at Book Fair

By Hong Kong News Group (Originally in Chinese)

[Hong Kong] On July 22, Golden Year 6 (2009), the 20th Hong Kong Book Fair opened under the earnest anticipation of the public and attracted more than 900,000 visitors. As the general public has become more aware of the global warming crisis, most exhibitors switched to using eco-friendly materials for the conservation of Earth’s natural resources. The Hong Kong Center specially produced a combined version of The Healthy Vegetarian Era 4 and the Global Warming Special Reports, aiming to remind the citizens that the best way to mitigate global warming is by adopting an animal-free diet. People enthusiastically came to collect the brochures and a total of 42,000 copies, together with a large quantity of SOS flyers and booklets, were distributed at the Book Fair.

Accompanied by his parents, a ten-year-old boy came to the initiates’ booth and attentively watched the Climate Change Videoconference footage. His parents explained that the boy had been a vegetarian since infanthood and seldom watches other television programs except for Supreme Master Television. Consequently, his parents followed his lead and are now vegetarians. A young lady studying in secondary school shared with the initiates that she had understood the critical urgency of global warming from watching Supreme Master Television and had adopted the animal-free diet over a year ago. Before the Book Fair ended, she enrolled to practice the Convenient Method. Likewise, many people have become more concerned about the state of our planet and have shown interest in the animal-free diet. Some of them also brought their friends to watch the relevant videos.

We sincerely hope that the idea of saving the planet by adopting the animal-free lifestyle will root and sprout in the hearts of all citizens, and all of us can strive together to save this beautiful Earth.

A Delightful Opening of the Loving Hut—Wanchai Outlet in Hong Kong

The Wanchai Outlet of Loving Hut in Hong Kong officially opened on August 1, Golden Year 6 (2009). This is the first international vegan chain restaurant ever operated on Hong Kong Island. Wanchai is a key commercial and business area in Hong Kong marked by a huge flow of people numbering 600,000 each day.

This latest Loving Hut is located in a new, top-flight commercial building installed with a central satellite system. Therefore, workers in the entire building complex can watch Supreme Master Television free-of-charge. Hopefully, this new vegan outlet will encourage more people to adopt the animal-free diet and a compassionate, sustainable lifestyle.
