Series of SOS Seminars on Tropical Island
By Bali News Group (Originally in English)

[Bali]The 31st Session of the IPCC (Inter-Governmental Panel on Climate Change) and Sessions of the three Working Groups were held in Bali in October, Golden Year 6 (2009). In order to raise people’s awareness on climate change and provide information about the main solution, the plant-based diet, our local initiates have held SOS Global Warming seminars at about 30 schools and public institutions after receiving invitations to conduct them since June this year.

For each seminar, the initiates began by showing several selected programs from Supreme Master TV, followed by a question and answer session, SOS pin awards for students who pledge to go vegetarian after the seminar, and signing a petition for Meat-Free Friday in Indonesia. So far, hundreds of students have pledged to change their diet and thousands of signatures have been collected for the petition which will be submitted to the President of Indonesia by the end of this year. Many students, teachers as well as school principles are very much appreciative of the initiates’ noble efforts and some students even volunteered to join the seminar team.

With many more SOS seminars on the way, initiates always feel fully charged with loving energy for each session, and give thanks to Master for Her guidance and protection enabling all seminars to be conducted smoothly and successfully. They are determined to visit every school and university on the waiting list to spread the SOS message and to raise the awareness of all the people on this beautiful island.
