Molly the Cow Finds New Home
By New York News Group (Originally in English)

Molly enjoys her peaceful life at The Farrm.

The newest resident of The Farrm, an animal sanctuary and organic farm on eastern Long Island, New York, established by Reginald and Connie Farr, is a brave young heifer who escaped while being transported to a slaughterhouse in New York City, USA. Molly subsequently led police on a wild chase around town, successfully dodging cars and onlookers until she was secured and taken to a Brooklyn animal shelter run by the City of New York. Later, with help from the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA), Molly finally found a new home, The Farrm, where she will live out her natural life in peace with many animal companions, enjoying organic food every day. Her courageous act has already become memorable to people such as renowned newscaster Barbara Walters, who said that Molly’s story inspired her to become a vegetarian, and that she would bring her own veggie burgers to the next White House dinner she attends.

Reginald and Connie Farr gladly received Supreme Master Ching Hai’s contribution.

After hearing of their warm-hearted provision of a home for Molly, Supreme Master Ching Hai kindly contributed US$3,000 to Molly’s new caretakers, Mr. and Mrs. Farr, to support their loving work with rescued animals. On May 30, Golden Year 6 (2009), on behalf of Supreme Master Ching Hai, our Association members visited The Farrm and presented the check and Master’s international best-selling book The Noble Wilds. They also provided a selection of CDs featuring Her songs to Mr. and Mrs. Farr, who graciously gave the initiates a tour to meet the animals on the 60-acre facility. Molly seemed to feel at home there and even found a new best friend, a steer named Wexley. Some of the other animals Mr. and Mrs. Farr provide shelter for include goats, sheep, chickens, roosters, ponies, geese, dogs, and cats. It was indeed a pleasure to visit the refuge and its happy, peaceful, animal occupants.

We thank Molly for your courageous act and inspiring people to respect the lives of our animal friends. We also thank Mr. and Mrs. Farr for their kind efforts in helping our less fortunate animal friends.

By Florida News Group (Originally in English)

Members of Jungle Island receiving US$5,000 loving contribution from Master

Miami’s Jungle Island is home to over 1,100 rare species of tropical birds and over 2,000 different species of plants. After this beautiful animal theme park was featured on Supreme Master Television, Master sent US$5,000 to purchase vegetarian treats, toys and other gifts for its wonderful inhabitants. In June of Golden Year 6 (2009), a special gathering was held at Jungle Island to express the residents’ and staff’s sincere appreciation to Supreme Master Ching Hai for Her generous gift of love.

A beautiful blue macaw, a baby kangaroo, a baby alligator and other rare, endangered and noble animals attended the event, along with staff members. During the introductions, Vice President Bobbie Ibarra said that she was deeply touched by Master’s unconditional love and message of compassion about saving the planet and bringing love to all beings. The park’s curator, Dr. Jason Chatfield, also expressed his personal appreciation to Master.

Together, they encouraged everyone to “Be Veg! Go Green! Save the Planet!” They also wholeheartedly wished Supreme Master Television a “Happy Anniversary” as a beautiful rainbow-colored macaw raised the Universal Peace Flag as an optimistic sign of a vegan world of peace, happiness and prosperity.
