            | Letter of Appreciation

                A Letter of Gratitude and
Shared Concern from the Philippines |
            | (Originally in English) | Supreme Master Ching Hai has found a close ally in the Archbishop
of Tuguegarao, His Excellency Diosdado A. Talamayan, D.D., of the Philippines
regarding Her worldwide efforts to encourage adopting a plant-based diet
as a means to stop global warming. Having recently received Supreme Master’s
SOS flyers and DVDs on the urgent matter of climate change from our Association
members in the Philippines, the Archbishop was deeply touched by Master’s
concern for the future of humanity.
On February 26, in response to all the informative materials
he had received, Arcbhishop Talamayan wrote a letter of appreciation.
The following is an excerpt from his letter addressed to our Association’s
        Manila Center in the Philippines:

        “Thank
you very much for your letter and the five DVDs about global warming
and climate change, SOS Be Veg and the Arctic Ice Melt-Down Crisis.
I am sure with this film viewing and with the pamphlet people would
be able to understand the importance why the sudden change of climate
and what global warming is all about. We also are reminded what are
the causes, effects and its prevention. What impressed me is the talk
of Supreme Master Ching Hai – December 25, 2007 Paris Seminar
on how to save the Earth in order that people can live and stay healthy.
But how can we do this if we do not change our lifestyle, because if
we do not change our lifestyle it may be too late for us. I agree with
what the Supreme Master said, change should start from us, from ourselves.”

          | Hoping to draw the attention
of students to the importance of a new alternative lifestyle, the
Archbishop requested additional information in the form of DVDs,
audiovisual tapes and pamphlets that he could share with schools
              under his jurisdiction.
We are touched and strengthened by the words and actions
of Archbishop Talamayan of Tuguegarao, Philippines. May God continue
              to bless him abundantly.
