A Series of Campaigns to Promote Vegetarianism

By Santiago News Group (Originally in Spanish)

[Santiago] Fellow initiates in Chile held a series of activities in October and November of Golden Year 5 (2008) to alert people to the impending crisis of global warming. They attracted the attention of academics with an exhibition at the University of St. Thomas, highlighting the vegan diet as the most effective means to counter the problem. A free sampling of delicious vegan dishes was complemented by an elegant display of Master’s photos as well as print and audiovisual publications. The vegetarian diet was also introduced in lectures delivered at the Walter Schmidt schools in Valdivia in southern Chile on five Saturdays between mid-October and early December.

From October 25 to October 31, the Chile Center was invited to participate in the Natural Health, Beauty and Fitness Exposition organized by the newspaper The Guard of Health, which took place in downtown Santiago. Thousands of people were attracted to the event. The initiates promoted the message of Alternative Living, climate change reversal and Supreme Master Television by distributing flyers, displaying various spiritual publications and offering vegetarian food sampling. Their stand generated such a harmonious and beautiful atmosphere that it was always surrounded by a crowd of people. In addition, the initiates hosted seminars on the subject of global warming, explaining in detail the reasons behind the vegetarian diet. A gentleman who is preparing to start an organic farm, volunteered to speak at one of the seminars. Many people expressed their eagerness to know more about ways to stop global warming.

It was very pleasant for the initiates to discover so many people have already turned vegetarian, especially the younger generation.
