[Vancouver] The word “Moomba” derives from an Australian aboriginal word meaning “People together having Fun.” That’s exactly what took place in a charity event held at Thunderbird Stadium in Vancouver, Canada, on July 21, Golden Year 4 (2007), on behalf of children impacted by HIV/AIDS. Brothers and sisters from the Vancouver Center came to take part in this worthwhile event and to spread the good news about Supreme Master Television and the Quan Yin Method.

To our great surprise, when we mentioned to an organizer of the event why we came, he offered to include our Supreme Master Television flyer in a gift bag that was to be given out to all who came to the yogathon. It even looked like the weather turned out to make this event more fun and interesting with a thousand people going through their yoga postures in the rain while a group of musicians played beautiful instrumental music to encourage everyone to flow in tune together.

The 108-minute yoga program was choreographed by a team of professional yoga teachers from different styles and backgrounds, each taking a turn to lead the yogis through their paces. It was designed for the young, old, beginner and expert so that everyone would have a safe and wonderful time. It was such a great joy to meet so many spiritually likeminded people and support such a worthwhile cause.

[Calgary] The Calgary Stampede Parade, also known as the “Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth,” is a spectacular multicultural event held every year in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. On July 6, Golden Year 4 (2007), about 350,000 people watched the parade’s procession, which featured marching show bands, Native American Indians in horse-drawn wagons, cowboys and cowgirls on horseback, and beautifully decorated floats.

Brothers and sisters from the Calgary and Vancouver Centers took this opportunity to share the Alternative Living flyers and Supreme Master Television news. Many people warmly called out “Vegetarian!” when they saw our yellow Supreme Master vests. They seemed to remember us from last year or perhaps recognized us from our many newspaper and magazine announcements.

One gentleman volunteered to distribute the Alternative Living flyers because he wanted to introduce vegetarianism to the public. We gave him some flyers and invited him to visit our website as well as watch Supreme Master Television programs for more information. Another gentleman was evidently a Truth aspirant as he asked us many spiritual questions and requested the Calgary contact information.

Lots of people came back for more flyers or information. Three ladies asked for additional flyers, adding that they are trying to become vegetarian. They also said they would watch the Supreme Master TV cooking show online.
