On December 23, Golden Year 3 (2006), fellow initiates from Montreal Center organized a food distribution activity to the homeless in the downtown area and a local shelter. The gift bags consisted of veggie ham sandwiches, fruits, chocolate, healthy bars, fruit drinks and a copy of the Alternative Living flyer. Even though they are in an unfortunate situation, the homeless people still displayed honesty and sincerity when receiving the gifts. And we were happy to see that some of them could not resist the delicious sandwiches which they immediately ate. In all, over 100 gift bags were given out and all of us felt blessed for the opportunity to serve God and Hier children. It is truly something we should all do more often.
