Thailand Seminar Golden Year 3 (2006) Financial Report

Total Seminar Fees Collected: US$4,807,771
Total Expenses: US$3,839,590
Surplus: US$968,181

Total expenses included the following items as per Master’s instruction on December 1:

- US$20,000 contributed to the families of police officers in Thailand in real need of financial assistance.

- US$10,000 allocated as assistance to fellow initiates around the world; those fellow initiates who are in real need of financial assistance may approach their respective contact persons for help in this matter.

- US$11,062 allocated to Bangkok Center for use in any probable future relief work from Thailand.

The seminar committee is in the process of refunding the surplus to participants. If there is still surplus due to people not claiming the refund, the balance will also be allocated for initiates who are in real need of financial assistance and for using to serve the public.

The surplus was due to the fact that many initiates from different countries contributed in a variety of ways. Initially all of the expenses were to be paid by the seminar committee; however, now they have been shared by these benefactors. We would like to extend our sincerest thanks to the following for helping to make possible a very successful seminar:

1. Hong Kong initiates who helped some of the Mongolian and mainland Chinese initiates with their air tickets to Thailand, seminar fees, as well as food and lodging during their transit through Hong Kong.

2. Mainland Chinese initiates who helped each other with registration fees and accommodation during their stay in Thailand, prior to and after the seminar.

3. Overseas Aulacese initiates who helped many initiates from Au Lac with their air tickets to Thailand, seminar fees and other related expenses.

4. Formosan initiates who paid the seminar fees for the Laotian initiates.

5. Many Thai initiates who arranged their own transportation to the seminar. Some offered their homes for our working teams and initiates to stay in before and after the seminar.

6. A Thai initiate who provided projectors and video equipment from his own company. Another Thai initiate gave the space and facilities of his factory for our preparation work for the seminar, in particular the assembly of kitchen set-up and staging for the convention halls.

In addition, some external parties also helped us:

7. The Ambassador City Jomtien Hotel kindly waived some charges in goodwill.

8. Dhammakaya Temple provided a lot of kitchen equipment free of charge; in return, we donated some money to their temple.

More importantly, we would like to thank Master for making this seminar possible and a most memorable one.
