The Treasured Kindness of the Thai People
By Bangkok News Group (Originally in Thai)

During our international retreat from November 26 to December 2, Golden Year 3 (2006), many people from many organizations expressed and bestowed great kindness and thoughtfulness upon our group in different ways:

1. Approximately nine persons from the Special Branch of the Royal Thai Police came to guard us every day during the Thailand retreat, to make us feel safe and protected. Representing this Special Branch, Commissioner Police Lieutenant General Teeradej Rodphotong visited us at the hotel to discover for himself more about our group. He found that he appreciated Master’s talents in Her Celestial Art creations. He was also impressed to see that the crowds of people in our group sat so quietly and that we all were lifelong vegetarians. Moreover, he felt happy knowing that our group does not do anything harmful or illegal to society. Eagerly, he asked to know more about our beloved Master and the Quan Yin Method, and invited us to provide more information to him as well as the other police in the Special Branch.
Presenting Master’s poem “The Quiet Hero” to Pol. Lt. General Teeradej Rodphotong, Commissioner of Thai Police Special Branch at the Royal Thai Police office.

To express our utmost gratitude to the police, on behalf of Supreme Master Ching Hai and per Her instruction, a humble contribution of US$20,000 was made to help police families with difficult financial situations. The ceremony was held on December 2 at the Retreat Hall. On that day the Commissioner could not come, so he assigned the Superintendent, Special Branch Division 1, Pol. Col. Pitak Sridang, to receive this contribution along with some of Master’s publications.

Moreover, Master’s divine love was bestowed in the form of a poem, “The Quiet Hero,” (see “Poems of Immortality” section of this issue) that Master personally wrote, which was dedicated to all good police. The day when Master’s poem in English and Thai was presented to Commissioner Teeradej Rodphotong, he said that next time if Master came to Thailand again he would like to greet Her himself.

2. The Pattaya City Hall, for our convenience and free of charge, provided mobile toilet trucks every day at the seminar venue. To the City Hall, we made a humble contribution of US$6,000 on behalf of Master as per Her instruction.

 3. The local Buddhist Monastery of Dhamakaya temple, Phakhruu Phaladphubase Chanapinyo, kindly lent us a large number of utensil sets completely free of charge. To show our appreciation, we contributed 360,000 Thai Baht (US$10,000) to the Dhamakaya temple, also as per Master’s instruction..

For two days following the special seminar’s end, we also had a chance to bring divine Love from Master to the less fortunate. Fellow practitioners from many countries happily brought items such as apples, Chinese pears, bread and jam, and tissue paper together with Master’s sample booklet to many welfare centers.

The first day, we visited Bann-Banglamung Juvenile Boys Home, which provides a home for 160 children. When we arrived, it was their evening meal time. Happy to know that they would receive something special, the children lined up to receive blessing food and humbly said “thank you” to us. We told them that the food was given on behalf of our Master, to share God’s love and blessings with them.

Continuing this job on the second day, the items filled six trucks as we visited four places: the Handicapped Welfare Home, the Orphan Welfare Home, the Banglamung Child Welfare Center and the Elder Welfare Home. All of the places we went were full of Master’s blessings, love and heavenly joy.
