“It is You Who Bless Yourself”

“It Is You Who Bless Yourself” is a lecture given by Supreme Master Ching Hai in Brisbane, Australia on March 21, 1993 and was aired as a special 3-part series on the television program, “A Journey through Aesthetic Realms” broadcast nationally in the United States on i:Independent Television. As the final part of the series ended, phone calls started to pour in from around the nation from sincere Truth seekers excited to learn more about Supreme Master Ching Hai’s teachings.

In this lecture, Supreme Master Ching Hai explained, “What is the difference between our guidance and others? It is that we give immediate enlightenment and that we give it without any cost - now, here, and hereafter. We give without any conditions at all. And you have lasting enlightenment every day. You can meditate every day and you can enjoy your wisdom every day. Then you become your own master, instead of slaving to some master, whether past, present or future.”

A lady named Lisa from Texas explained that she’s interested in finding more about Master because she’s interested in enlightenment. She has gone beyond her Christian faith, and after watching Master’s lecture on our television program, it struck her that Master may be just the person to help her on her spiritual path. From Georgia, Mr. Lackey also called and mentioned that he was motivated to find out more about Master’s enlightening technique because of Her talks about the universal connection of spirituality.

In her quest to find the answers to her innermost questions, Ms. Daniel from Missouri finally stumbled on the bearer of the Truth. Ms. Daniel shared that all her life she has been searching for the answers to the questions of where we come from, and what our purpose on earth is.

Master answered those questions for her in this program: “We work eight hours a day, forty hours a week or more, and what do we get - a wardrobe full of clothes that we change with the fashion every now and then, and a belly full of hams and chickens and all that every day. Then, when we die, we will get nothing. Is that what we have to labor for every day? Fine, do it, but save some time for our self, for knowing our greatness. And then, even then, you can use that greatness to work in eight hours and make it more successful, make the world more brilliant with our wisdom.”

“These are the questions that I have and traditional religions cannot answer.” commented Ms. Daniel. She went on to confide that recently she had just finished the book titled, “Guiding Angels”, and in one part of the book it says to write down what you wanted most. So, she had just finished writing down her heart’s inner longing, and started to surf the television channels when she found our television program. “I do not believe in coincidences,” stated Ms. Daniel. As a result, she immediately picked up the phone at the end of the show and called us to ask for more information about Master and meditation. As the saying goes, when you are ready, the Master will appear.

There were calls throughout the week from people asking for more information about Supreme Master Ching Hai. One of the calls, which took place almost a week after the program had aired was from Ms. Estino in Florida. She started the phone call off with, “I want to be initiated by Supreme Master Ching Hai.” She had first learned about Master from a friend who lived in Peru, however for some reason her son could not get more information from the internet. Coincidentally, her sister in Daytona Beach also called her and told her to watch the TV program and how it was about a Supreme Master. Ms. Estino was amazed because she had never mentioned anything about Supreme Master Ching Hai to her sister before. She confided, “Every day I try to wake up and feel good, but some days it’s just so hard and I know that meditation will help me.”

Mr. Vezza, from Maryland shared that he saw the announcement for the Africa program a while back but never had the chance to watch the program until now. The name of the program, “A Journey through Aesthetic Realms,” on the announcement attracted him to it. He said, “We need more positive programming like yours because the more people focus on the negative, that’s what they’re going to get.”

In the entertainment segment of our television program this time was the broadcast of the spiritual song, “Ain’t It Wonderful,” written and performed by our Association member and international singer from Mongolia, Nominjin, who has had seven #1 hits and was voted best pop singer in 2005 in her native land. She also features on the global release of the spectacular re-mix and music video of John Lennon’s “Give Peace a Chance” by EMI/Virgin Records.

Several of the callers called in commenting on how they love our television program overall, and were also impressed by the spiritual nature of “Ain’t It Wonderful.” Another woman from Georgia, Ms. Hudson, loved our program, “The whole show was awesome!” She informed us that she was flipping the channels and was going to turn it off when she stumbled upon our program. “I saw what was going on and it captured my attention.” She went on to share that she loved the music from the song, “Ain’t It Wonderful.” It was very peaceful. Afterward, she asked for more information about Master and Her work. One regular watcher from Kentucky inquired where she could acquire Master’s music and Nominjin’s song. She still remembered Master’s beautiful song “I Will Forever Love You” from previous programs.

Master’s teachings are multi-faceted, and thus She uses all methods – painting, music, poetry, interior design, and fashion – to elevate us from our preconceived ideas about God and spirituality. Supreme Master Ching Hai’s latest paintings – “Medicine,” “Igniting,” and “Heaven’s Gift” – were also featured in the Celestial Art News segment.

Ms. Bustillo in Florida shared that she has been watching several of the television programs already but had never called in until now. She liked seeing Master’s new paintings, as well as Her lanterns and other designs. She loved the song, “Dream in the Night” from the television program that was aired several weeks ago. Ms. Bustillo agrees very much with Master’s teaching that we learn not by just sitting and meditating, but also through developing our own selves. She shared that, “My house is very clean and quiet and I know that when I play the Master’s voice and Her singing, I’m not only listening to Her voice and the lyrics, but I know that the Master is also blessing my whole house.”

Supreme Master Ching Hai stated, “After enlightenment, we make full use of our power, worldly-wise as well as spiritually. So please, do not be afraid; just stand up and be great. Be what you are and make use of your talents that lie dormant inside. The more you are enlightened, the more fulfillment you have.

I play the piano, and I write music; I couldn’t do it before. No one taught me. So you see, I am not handicapped in any way after enlightenment. I am more fulfilled and more able to do many things that are required of me at that precise moment. I don’t overdo anything, but whenever it is necessary or needed, I do it. Therefore, I can earn money and come here to you without bothering you, without making you afraid that I’ll take donations from you, or needing your financial support, or anything.”

Truly, we are blessed to be the disciples of such a wise, compassionate, and multi-talented Master who reconnects us with God and continues to guide us in the wisdom of the universe.

She reminded us in this lecture, “We have to enlighten our atmosphere more, by more and more people standing tall and walking Godlike on this Earth, walking with enlightenment, walking with wisdom, doing things with love.”

May God continue to bless this world and humankind through the unconditional love and blessings of our compassionate Master.
